Boogie Woogie synchronicity: "Sugar Chile" Robinson and Martin Pyrker

The performer isn't a talented midget - Frank Isaac Robinson was seven years old when he appeared in the 1946 film, No Leave No Love. After several hits with Capitol Records he asked his father if he could give up recording and go to college, where he earned degrees in history and psychology. He last appeared in Britain in 2007 at a rock and roll revival weekend. He's still with us, aged 73.

A nephew played me this clip on my first day on holiday in Cornwall last week. The first email I opened on my return was from my brother, who recommended checking out this terrific clip featuring Austrain boogie woogie specialist, Martin Pyrker and his drummer daughter, Sabine:

Spooky coincidence or what? I'll end with Johann Blohm, a member of the Swedish group, The Refreshments, tearing it up:

I know Johann doesn't look like he's enjoying himself much, but, after all, he's Swedish, and I'm  guessing, somewhere deep inside, he's smiling broadly.
